What a trim and shape involves

A trim and shape is more than running clippers over everything at one length. We start by asking what you want: keep the length you have, take it down, or tidy the edges while you grow it out. The cheek line is cleaned up so it follows your face rather than fighting it, the neckline is set so the beard ends where it should, and the length is evened out so both sides match.

If you keep it short, the Beard Trim & Shape can be just a tidy of the edges without taking any length off. If it is the hairline rather than the beard you want sharpened, that is a Shape-Up / Line-Up at £10. Ask us about finishing options when you are in.

Pairing a beard with a haircut or fade

A beard trim can be booked with a cut, and the combined prices are lower than booking each on its own. Haircut + Beard is £25, which is £5 less than an adult haircut at £18 and a beard trim at £12. Skin Fade + Beard is £27 and works the same way with our skin fades, with the same £5 saving.

Doing both in one sitting matters for more than the price. A fade blends down into the sideburns and the beard picks up from there, so when the same barber handles both, the lines meet cleanly and the whole look reads as one piece.

Curly and textured beards

Tightly curled beard hair behaves differently: it can look patchy when it is not, it curls back on itself as it grows, and a line that suits one face can look wrong on another. We shape with that in mind, working with the grain rather than against it.

Straight, wavy and fine beards get exactly the same care. Gornal, Coseley and Tipton are all within easy reach of the shop, which is open seven days a week, Sunday included.

A couple of things help before you come in. Come with the beard as you normally wear it so we can see how it sits. If you have a photo of a shape you like, bring it, and if you are growing out a particular area, tell us so we leave it alone.
